Continue reading and recording your reading nights in your Take Home Reading Journal. Remember to bring your Home Reading Journal to school each morning to record your reading nights. We will be giving out certificates to those who have achieved 25 nights of reading one Wednesday a month at our Unit Assembly.
This week for maths all students are expected to use their times tables resources to help them with learning their times tables off by heart.
Each child has:
A Timestables Mat
A Timestables Square Grid
A Timestables Clock for practising on
You are expected to practise your timestables over a couple of nights each week. You could add this onto the end of your reading practise.
Click on this picture to take you to the site.
Mrs B has set you all a task on our topic of Addition & Subtraction on Mathletics. Get onto mathletics and give it a go. (Remember you are not to do the test until asked please.) If you are unable to get onto the internet at home this week you may have time at school. You may come into the classroom from 8.45 and use this time until the bell for Mathletics.
Alternatively, you may choose from the tub of homework sheets from the Mathletics workbook on our topic.
PLEASE NOTE THIS WEEK:
Spelling practise this week will be at school. We will be learning the marking system with Mrs Blake. This week we will learn how to make the syllables in words and mark the codes we have learnt during school time. Next term we will be practising the marking system at home.
Click on the link above and chose any number Brain Teaser you like. Click on the chapter to read the task online. Go back to your desktop. Open the pink Office button on the dock, then Microsoft Word. Complete your answer to the Brain Teaser using Word on your netbook. Save your work by going into documents, then your homework folder. See if you can add your document here on the table below. Don't forget to write your name under your work so we know who's it is!
